Reddit user SaintElena recreates the style and look of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman with a stunning Batman Returns cosplay.
A stunning cosplay of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman looks just similar to the one in 1992’s Batman Returns.
A cosplayer with the username SaintElena posted their Catwoman photo on the r/cosplay subreddit in which they were seen performing the iconic pose in a smokey room with a disco ball. Saint-Elena designed Catwoman’s gloves and the suit, thimble, and whip. The corset and the helmet were custom-made and the shoes were bought from regular retailers. They also said that the feeling of wearing her tight-fitting outfit was similar to the experience Pfeiffer had while shooting Batman Returns. “If I’m spending more time in this suit, actively moving and sweating, I may get heatstroke.” If I do not move actively, I can wear the suit down for as long as 4 hours.

Pfeiffer was the fourth actor to play a live-action Catwoman. He performed this role after Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt, in the continuity of Adam West Batman. After being made a villain by Shreck (Christopher Walken), Selina Kyle (HTMO_0_) transforms into an armed vigilante. She has a gang with Penguin (Danny DeVito), and Batman (Michael Keaton). While Catwoman’s supernatural background isn’t consistent with comic lore but she is still considered a feminist icon due to her ability to regain both her agency (and sexuality) against male adversaries. In the same way, although Burton’s 1992 film was controversial, the Burton film was praised more overall. Some consider it to be one of the greatest comic book movies.
Michelle Pfeiffer is a star in more than one superhero film
Batman Returns has seen Catwoman as played by Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, and Zoe Kravitz. Camren Bicondova was also the younger Selina on Fox’s Gotham and became the main character of the series throughout its five seasons. Keaton will portray Batman for the first time since Batman is back in Flash. She is Barry Allen’s multiversal ally, alongside Sasha Calle and Supergirl. Pfeiffer was asked whether she would ever think about having a reunion as DC characters with Keaton. Keaton said that it would depend on the situation, but yes, I’d be thinking about the possibility.
