One Spider-Man fan has created a stunning costume for Scorpion, which features similarities to Green Goblin’s military technology in Sam Raimi’s films.
The costume of a cosplayer in armor makes the Spider-Man villain to life, looking prepared to go toe-toe with Tom Holland’s friendly web-slinger from the neighborhood in a brand new social media video.
Coy Jandreau shared the video on Twitter that shows the unidentified Scorpion cosplayer in action, who poses for the camera in a series of postures of attack that are crouched. The costume of the fan is well-protected, which is reminiscent of Green Goblin’s military tech in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. Jandreau posted an image of the cosplayer in Jandreau’s costume against another Mortal Kombat Scorpion. “THIS was the next scene,” Jandreau captioned the last post. “Glorious!” He was also interested in knowing who could be his cosplayer. The name of the cosplayer is not known as of the time this article was written.

Developed by Spider-Man creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Scorpion made his comics debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #19 as Mac Gargan, a private investigator employed by The Daily Bugle‘s J. Jonah Jameson to determine the method by which Peter Parker obtains his photographs of Spider-Man. Jameson employs Gargan as a test subject for Dr. Farley Stillwell. This gives Gargan the appearance of a scorpion and his signature costume, complete with the tail of a machine. The procedure drives Garagn insane as he is infatuated by the predatory tendencies of his demon ego’s nickname. Gargan is turned on by Jameson and becomes a regular menace to Jameson’s webhead.
Scorpion’s Screen History
The Scorpion was featured in a variety of animated films, such as 1967’s Spider-Man and 1981’s Spider-Man with His Amazing Friends, 1994’s Spider-Man, and 2008’s Spectacular Spider-Man. More recently, 2018’s Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse. The character’s potential was debated by fans. debut live-action movie in anticipation of Drew’s failed Sinister Six movie. However, Goddard has not officially confirmed the roster of his team. Michael Mando played the role of the character in Spider-Man Homecoming. While the actor’s appearance did not feature him in Scorpion’s iconic costume, the movie’s post-credits scenes offered a glimpse of a costumed future for the character, in a collaboration with Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

But 2021’s Spider-Man The Last of Us: No Way Home as well as a scene after the credits from 2022 Morbius have cast doubt on Scorpion’s future. Both films led to Keaton’s Toomes going to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe where he attempts to create an alliance of villains with Jared Leto’s Michael Morbius, instead of Mando’s Gargan. The inclusion of Kingpin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could increase the odds of the return of the Scorpion due to their prior collaborations in animation or comics.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige announced in February that the story of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man4 is now settled and that the writers are “putting pen to paper.” It is unknown which villains will play an important role in Spidey’s new big-screen adventure, which has yet to receive an announcement date.
